A full selection of wines can be produced in the UK, ranging from dry whites to sparkling, with many winning prestigious awards both here and abroad.
English wine is produced from a large selection of grape varieties, carefully developed over the years to succeed and cope with our challenging and unpredictable climate.
Our competition this year was once again held in the beautiful setting of Hothorpe Hall in the Leicestershire countryside. We had a busy day of judging, with over 80 wines judged by a panel of five Judges, headed by Mr David Bird, MV.
The 2020 competition awards is to be held at the Best West Western Lion Hotel on the 23 August 2020 with the judging taking place on the 22 August 2020.
